Art & Technology Update
We are well into the term, and our students have been busy exploring their creativity!
- Year 7 students are diving into the world of printmaking and etching, learning essential techniques to bring their artistic ideas to life.
- Year 8 Visual Communication students have been designing personal graphic logos, thoughtfully considering the symbolism behind each element of their designs.
- Our woodwork room is buzzing with activity! Year 8 students are honing their skills before beginning their individual projects.
- In our Sculpture Extend, students are working on a ceramic vessel project, developing their clay-building techniques in preparation for designing and constructing their own unique pieces. The first batch of pinch pots has already been bisque-fired in our kiln at FHS!!

Call for Community Donations
The Art & Technology Department is seeking donations of quality materials to support our creative projects. If you have any of the following items in good condition, we would love to hear from you:
- Fabrics (clean sheets, bedding, pillowcases)
- Foam mattresses (clean, for ceramics and art projects)
- Props (for drama and theatre productions)
- Unused haberdashery and art supplies
If you have any donations that may be useful, please email jitske.wiersma@education.vic.gov.au to arrange a drop-off. Your support is greatly appreciated.
