Wear it Purple Day
We are thrilled to announce the success of Wear it Purple Day, held at Fitzroy High School, and organised by members of our Student Representative Team (SRT). The event, aimed at promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, was a vibrant celebration of diversity, acceptance, and pride within our school community.
Students and staff alike proudly wore purple, participated in activities, and engaged in conversations about the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone. The day (and especially the disco) was filled with positive energy, and it was heart-warming to see our students lead the charge in fostering a sense of belonging for all.
A special thank you goes to students Joni and Barnaby for their epic DJ set, Jamie for running the face paint station and Inger and Jacinta, whose support and guidance were instrumental in making the day such a success. Their commitment to student leadership and inclusivity has helped shape a truly impactful event.
We look forward to continuing this important tradition and encouraging even more students to take part in Wear it Purple Day next year!
