VCE Leadership Awards

The 2024 VCE Leadership Awards ceremony was held on Friday 13 September, with Wurun’s Myeehsa M taking out one of eight coveted awards from a field of over fifty nominees. The awards recognise VCE and VCE Vocational Major students’ important and innovative community work, and highlight examples of exemplary leadership. Myeesha is a dedicated leader who has made a significant impact on our school community. As SRC Cultural Lead she played a key role in organising events such as the cultural parade and National Reconciliation Week. Myeesha also supported initiatives such as the Fair Wages for All Ages campaign and IDAHOBIT; and represented Wurun in discussions with the Victorian Premier and Minister for Education, highlighting her leadership in both cultural advocacy and the VCE Vocational Major program in which she is currently a Year 12 student. Massive congratulations on receiving this award Myeesha – we are incredibly proud of you.
