Sports Update

The first month of Spring has brought with it more sporting success for Fitzroy High School, continuing to build on a strong year for our community.

Earlier in the Term, we had 6 competitors travel out to Epping for the Regional Athletics Championships. It was a cold, windy day, but our competitors braved the elements to perform extremely well, representing FHS with pride. Congratulations to Melmo.H (800m), Metehan.K (Shot-put), Barnaby.I (High Jump), Cassie.H (Shot-put), Ella.L (100m Hurdles, 800m) and Toby.W (Discus) for their achievements.

Fitzroy also celebrated a few wins in our Term 3 interschool sport competitions, particularly our Year 7 and 8 Futsal and Basketball teams. Special shout-out to Year 7 futsal, who came away with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss on the day, narrowly missing out on the grand final.

Keep an eye out in Term 4, as our lunchtime house competition starts back up again. This time our students will compete in their houses for the title of House Basketball Champions.
