Student Representative Team Update

Embracing Indigenous Australian Themes in School Houses

Our Student Representative Team (SRT) is thrilled to announce the initiative to develop new houses that align with Indigenous Australian themes is nearing completion. This project aims to celebrate and honour the rich cultural heritage of Indigenous Australians. By incorporating traditional art, names, and symbols into the design and ethos of these new houses, we hope to create an environment that fosters respect, understanding, and appreciation for Indigenous cultures among our students. The development process has involved extensive consultation with the school community and will reach out to local Indigenous elders to ensure authenticity and cultural sensitivity.

Reviewing and Redesigning the SRT Structure for 2025

As we look ahead to the future, the SRT is also undertaking a comprehensive review and redesign of our structure for 2025. Our goal is to create a more inclusive, efficient, and effective team that can better serve our school community. This review includes evaluating our current roles and responsibilities, exploring new leadership opportunities, and implementing feedback from students and staff. We believe that these changes will enable us to better represent and advocate for our peers, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.

Attending the Vic Congress Event

In addition to our ongoing projects some members of our SRT are eagerly preparing to attend the upcoming Vic Congress event. This annual gathering brings together student representatives from across Victoria to share ideas, collaborate on common challenges, and develop leadership skills. Attending Vic Congress is a fantastic opportunity for our team members to learn from other schools, gain new perspectives, and bring innovative ideas back to our community. We look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions, networking with fellow student leaders, and representing our school with pride.

Ongoing Support for the Positive Shop

The SRT continues to support the running of the Positive Shop, a vital initiative that promotes a positive school culture and rewards students for their achievements and good behaviour. By managing and organising the Positive Shop, the SRT ensures that it remains a vibrant and encouraging aspect of our school environment. We are committed to maintaining a space where students can redeem points for various rewards, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation throughout the school year
