Year 7 Great Race
Our annual tradition of the Year 7 Great Race was on this year! Competitors raced with the aim of scoring the most points for their advisory groups and winning a pizza lunch. Food is an incredible motivator it seems because these adventurers were on a mission! They solved clues and challenges at each of the sites:
Edinburgh Gardens
Wurun Senior Campus
Royal Exhibition building
Fitzroy library
North Fitzroy Library
Collingwood Little Athletics track
Melbourne Museum
Rushall Station
Navigating their way through these local sites all on their own, they were all winners on this day. Many took up leadership roles, supporting roles, scouting roles and vibe-master roles. They showed unwavering enthusiasm and support for each other. The day was brilliant all thanks to the lovely Year 7 cohort. Also a big shout out to the Year 10 student ambassadors for helping out on the day as well. There’s a reason why they’re our FHS leaders because they were incredible with helping out on the day. The winners are to be announced this coming week!
