SWPBS Behaviour Blitzes
This term we began our first Behaviour Blitz as part of the SWPBS program. These Blitzes focus on specific expectations that reinforce the values of the school and create a positive culture of learning. This began with looking at how technology can enhance or distract from learning, as well as which practices build self-discipline around appropriate use of technology so that students can improve their learning and reduce distractions. As students learned and practised these habits, their teachers provided feedback to encourage them. Many students were able to consistently use technology to enhance their learning and were rewarded for their efforts with positive points for use in the SWPBS shop! We’ll continue running these Blitzes as we move through the term, giving opportunities for students to practise and be rewarded for acting in ways that benefit their learning and the culture of the school.
