From the Reconciliation Action Working Party Team
While the weather this September may not be looking so great, the work being done by the RAP is heading on an awesome trajectory. In our most recent meetings we’ve been working towards refining a school Acknowledgement of Country to be used at events like assemblies, increasing the numbers of flagpoles at the 7-10 campus for flying the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Island flags and Australian flags and framing the Apology to the Stolen Generation to hang in a prominent place in the school.
We want to extend our thanks to all students and staff who have participated in the RAP so far and helping to get it off the ground. We also encourage any parents in the community to stay tuned via the newsletter and Instagram as to how they can contribute to taking steps towards reconciliation at Fitzroy High School.
