Book Week
What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week last week! The library was abuzz with creative energy when two teams set themselves the goal of writing a book in a day.
The Write a Book in a Day competition has become a staple of Fitzroy High School’s calendar, with students from Years 7-10 volunteering to participate in the competition and raise money for the Kids’ Cancer Project. Well done everyone!
In other book news, we are very proud of all the students who successfully completed the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge this week. Hearing about all the different books being read across the year levels is inspiring – everything from Heartstopper, to biographies about famous athletes, to Maya Angelou.
Well done to all those who participated in the Challenge!
