Centre of Italian Studies state-wide poetry competition
In September the year 7 and 8 Italian students participated in the state-run CIS poetry competition.
Students memorised and recited their poems to an independent judge. This is always a big step for language learners as learning to recite poetry takes enormous dedication, repetition and courage to perform in front of an unknown audience. Students celebrated with a pizza at lunch time and were awarded their certificates at assembly.
We congratulate all of the students that participated and acknowledge the teachers, language assistants, family and friends for listening to and supporting our Italian language learners, congratulazioni ragazzi!!!
