Sports Update
Cross Country- June 14th
We had 12 students qualify and attend Regional Cross Country in Kilmore. All students ran really well on the day and were great representatives of Fitzroy High. Congratulations to Petar, Ben and Franti who came 3rd overall in the 16’s boys team event and to Ella for coming 4th in the 15’s girls and qualifying for state.
Lawn Bowls- July 14th
After our success in lawn bowls earlier this year our senior lawn bowls team were invited to a state-wide invitational lawn bowls event. They competed against schools from all over the state who won their respective competitions. Eridani, Preston and Jackson competed well all day winning all their round matches. Unfortunately, they went down to Kyabram in the final. Eridani was invited to join the state team. A big thanks to Peter and Jack from Fitzroy Bowls club for organising and driving the bus for the day.
